✅ Condition 1: The Rahu Alignment
Rahu must be placed in a Kendra (1st, 4th, 7th, or 10th house) or Trikona (1st, 5th, or 9th house) from the Lagna Lord (the ruler of your Ascendant).
⚠️ But here’s the catch: Rahu should NOT be in the Lagna itself. That’s the one exception.
🌙 Condition 2: Moon’s Phase & Time of Birth
Your birth must occur either:
- During daytime in Krishna Paksha (the waning phase of the Moon—from Full Moon to New Moon), OR
- During nighttime in Shukla Paksha (the waxing phase—from New Moon to Full Moon).

Only then does Ashtottari Dasha become your true karmic timeline.

If your Ascendant (Lagna) falls in Rahu’s Nakshatras—Ardra, Swati, or Shatabhisha—
AND you’re born during the daytime in Krishna Paksha,
👉 then Ashtottari Mahadasha becomes highly effective and should be applied with confidence.
This is a mystical shortcut that most software can’t detect—but your birth chart will whisper it to the wise astrologer.
